Welcome to 2025.

What a warm and welcoming start to the year I have experienced at my new school. It has been lovely meeting all our students and connecting with so many of our families. It is an absolute joy to me that I have been lucky enough to become part of your school and I already feel a sense of belonging.

Thank you for helping us with getting your students ready for school. They look fabulous in their uniforms and have settled beautifully into their new classrooms.

We have rolled out Seesaw as the new way of connecting with families this year. This is replacing Dojo, and you will have received information on how to connect. We hope that you are enjoying using it and if you need help connecting, let us know.

Love (connection) is our core value at GPS and we have seen lots of moments of staff and students connecting through this value. Everyone belongs at Glenorchy. One of the ways, as Principal, that I connect with you and our children will be at ’Dance and Drop’ in the morning in front of the office where children are putting in their Spotify requests and we dance and connect with joy.

I am approachable – I love to chat – come along and say hello (and dance if you feel the need!!)
